Catherine Harkins

Kennewick, Washington
Catherine Harkins was born and raised in eastern Washington.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Washington University in 2003, where she graduated with Honors.  In 2006 she graduated cum laude from Gonzaga Law School where she was an Articles Editor of Gonzaga Journal of International Law and a member of the National Trial Team where her team became regional semi-finalists.  During her time in law school, she worked for the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, as a legal intern for two years where she prosecuted federal crimes.  Directly out of law school, Catherine moved to the Tri-Cities and worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Benton County.  There she conducted numerous jury trials and wrote appeals for felony cases.   Using her vast knowledge from working at the prosecutor's office at both the federal and county level, she chose to start criminal defense work.  As a criminal defense attorney, she tirelessly works to uphold the rights of the accused.  Over the last seven years, she has successfully obtained numerous dismissals, not-guilty verdicts and acquittals. Catherine is not afraid to go to trial to represent her clients to the fullest extent of the law.  Her trial experience is a valuable asset in her and the firm's personal injury practice.
